Tunji Oladejo, Director of Public Communication at the University of Ibadan, announced the lecture will be held online in the first semester for the 2020/2021 session for students of the institution due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Oladejo made this known via a statement issued on Thursday, February 4th in Ibadan. He said the university Senate, which is the highest decision-making body in the institution, has approved the start of online lectures for the first semester of the 2020/2021 academic session.
He added that the opening of the registration portal and orientation program for the 2020/2021 session will start on or before Saturday, February 20, 2021, for new students.
The statement also urged new students and the general public to ignore information about opening a student registration portal for housing allocation.
Oladejo said students would not be given access to campus accommodation because academic activities were conducted online.
