JAMB Introduces ‘Know Your Registration Officer’ in 2021 UTME Process

In addition to recorded biometric data, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has provided a picture of the area to registration Officer to displayed in the corner of the screen for candidates registration.

In a statement from the spokesman, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said the directors said that applicants who registered for UTME / DE exercise in 2021 were urged to ensure that the photo displayed in the corner of the screen is the same person who registered for them

It states: “If the photo does not match the face of the registration Officer, candidates must immediately raise the alarm because the person is not authorised to register them or is in a completely unauthorised registration outlet”

He said similar measures were taken alongside several others to combat the manipulation, abuse and exploitation of candidates and to prevent examination malpractice.

The JAMB spokesperson “Dr. Fabian Benjamin” said: “The existing innovations, including those that come with minor changes and additional processes, are meant to make the system better and stronger for those who are working continuously to take the advantages of the system for malicious act.

“Candidates, who are the major stakeholders in the process, must therefore monitor the process as they registering and comply with the instructions, rules and regulations.”
