JAMB ranks UI University of Ibadan as the most transparent university on admission in Nigeria.
The Registrar and Chief Executive of Joint of JAMB Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede praised the University of Ibadan UI for its so-called transparency and said that it was the most transparent among other universities in the country in terms of admissions.
He said that “the university (UI) will never compromise the eligibility criteria related to credit lists, service areas and other considerations for any candidate.
“As soon as a candidate meets the admission criteria such as boundary markings and has the appropriate subject combination for the High School Certificate (SSCE) examination for the selected course, that student will definitely be admitted.
He urged any candidate not only who selects the University of Ibadan (UI) but other institutions who believes to meet the eligibility criteria, but without gaining acceptance and have evidence, to provide a report to JAMB on the Intervention Report. “We’ll be happy to intervene,” he promised.
While Prof Oloyede noted that JAMB was also prepared to suspend registration of CBT centers found guilty of illicit dealing, he announced that a total of 410,517 applicants had registered as of 1pm on Wednesday, while 12,040 had been approved for direct entry to a total of 785 CBT centers across the country.
He said his goal was to register up to 60,000 candidates every day.
In that case, University of Ibadan UI is the best transparent University on admission in Nigeria as JAMB stated in 2021.
