Lagos State Government Announces the School Resumption Date for 2021

The Lagos government announced on Tuesday, May 4, the resumption date for all public and private schools in the state for the start of the third academic session 2020/2021, which will be held on Monday, May 3, before the start of the academic session. Academic activities must be continued on Tuesday.

In a statement signed by the public relations officer for quality assurance services, Emanuel Olaniran, state education commissioner Folasade Adefisayo was quoted as agreeing to the resumption. School owners and principals are advised to “ensure strict adherence to all existing protocols to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the country and to ensure the safety of students and staff”. The government added that their staff will attend school to ensure compliance.
