The National Examination Board (NECO) publishes the results of exams for school leave for November / December 2019.

The National Examination Board (NECO) has announced the publication of the results of the High School Certificate Examination (SSCE) 2020 for external applicants. The announcement was made on Thursday at Mina Council headquarters by the Registrar/Chief Godwill Obioma.

According to him, as many as 41,459 candidates registered for the exam while 39,503 candidates took part. In addition, the registrar states that a total of 26,277 applicants received five or more credits, including English and mathematics, while 34,014 applicants received five or more credits regardless of English and mathematics.

In addition, Obioma announced that the results of 256,000 applicants who missed some papers during SSCE in 2020 (internal) due to ENDSARS protests in several states and participated in these papers during SSCE in 2020 (external), were being released alongside those of external candidates today.

It was discovered that 6,465 cases of examination malpractice activity were recorded with SSCE External for 2020, against 17,004 cases in 2019.

The secretary stated that, in accordance with the Committee with absolutely zero tolerance for malpractice, four supervisors were found guilty of aiding and abetting malpractice were blacklisted and would no longer participate in NECO inspections.

The examination center in Ogun state was removed due to intimidation and multiple attempts to convince NECO officials, as well as assisting and supporting the abuse of exams.

Obioma explained that based on the approval of the Federal Ministry of Education, NECO has planned its public examinations for 2021 as follows:

The National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) for the admission of JSS 1 students to the Federal Colleges of Association is scheduled for Saturday, 29 May 2021.

Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) is scheduled for Monday, July 5 to Monday, August 16, 2021. Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is scheduled for Monday, 23 August to Monday, 6 September 2021 to allow students to be admitted to this level to cover a more amount subjects to study for the exam.
