The Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB) have finalized talks on CCTV live streaming and monitoring of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME).
In his statement, the Registrar of CPN, Dr Muhammad Bello Aliyu, said he was present at the JAMB National Headquarters in furtherance of the Council’s collaboration with the Board towards delivering excellent and fair UTME.
Dr Aliyu said that the Council had entered into a partnership with JAMB to make sure that the UTME is monitored live to forestall any malfeasance.
The Secretary General of CPN promised that the Council would send relevant technical and remote monitoring professionals to all examination centers. This means that all activities in all centers, especially during exam sessions, will be broadcast live.
JAMB will monitor UTME via live stream in 2021
The applicant must be aware that anyone who commits a crime will be prosecuted.
Meanwhile, the board said this year’s mock exam was a huge success and a clear indicator of the board’s readiness for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination , which starts on Saturday, 19 June 2021. Parents and applicants should note that mock exam results will not be added to UTME due to the fact that mock exam is only intended to expose candidates to the UTME testing mode.
