University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED) Nursing Programme is fully accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), City of Ondo, Ondo State, has received full accreditation for its Bachelor of Nursing Science program from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
Full accreditation status is for a period of five (5) years with an annual admission of seventy five (75) students, after which the department will be reassessed.
The approval was conveyed through a letter to the Deputy Chancellor Prof Desegug Fatusi from the Secretary General and Secretary General Farouk Umar Abubakar on Thursday, June 10, 2021.
The annual admission of seventy-five (75) students approved by NMCN represents a fifty percent (50%) increase in the total number of applicants who will be admitted to the program at the next academic session.
This evolution follows a board member’s visit to the university in February 2021 and means that nursing students currently at level 500 will graduate if necessary.
