The Edo state government has announced that schools in the state will reopen for the 2021/2022 academic session on Monday, September 6, 2021.
In a statement approved by the State Secretary of the Edo Ministry of Education, Stella-Maris Imasuen urged parents and guardians to ensure that all relevant educational materials are available to children and their communities.
“We hereby announce to the public at large, particularly principals/principals and owners of private schools, that schools in Edo Country will hold a meeting on Monday 6/2022,” the statement read.
The Minister of State Secretary instructed all school principals/principals and school owners to collect the school calendar for the 2021/2022 school year from the office (Public School Inspector) in the relevant area of the local government.
“For a safe school environment, principals/school owners must ensure strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols, which include mandatory wearing of masks, use of infrared thermometers, regular hand washing and use of hand sanitizers.” he added.
