Nigerian Airforce College Of Nursing Receives NBTE Approval For ND Program

The Nigerian Airforce College of Nursing NAFCON Receives NBTE Approval for ND Programme, and the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board JAMB has included NAFCON in its 2022 candidate brochure.

The Nigerian College of Nursing (NAFCON) College of Nursing received approval/accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to initiate a National Diploma (ND) in Nursing Education.

The National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) has approved the commencement of the National Diploma (ND) in Nursing Training at the Nigerian Air Force College of Nursing (NAFCON) Kaduna with effect from January 2021.

Approval implies that NAFCON will terminate 3 years of training in nursing and move to ND as a general nurse.

In addition, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has included Nigerian Airforce College Of Nursing NAFCON in its 2022 candidate brochure.

Therefore, all applicants seeking admission to NAFCON for the 2021/2022 academic session will go through the JAMB university entrance examination to be admitted to ND General Nursing.

It may be recalled that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), in October 2019, commissioned the NAF School of Medical Sciences and Aviation Medicine (NAFSMSAM) at the NAF Base, Kaduna.

The school which has 3 colleges under its leadership, including NAFCON, initially had the mission of training nurses and medical technicians in related medical fields such as pharmacy, medical laboratory, and health care.

The school also organizes modernization and refresher courses for various categories of NAF Medical Services staff to teach them about best aviation medicine practices around the world.
