The West African Examination Council (WAEC), Nigeria, aims to educate applicants and the general public on a new way to collect endorsements and hard copy certificates from applicants from council offices in Nigeria. The new method of certificate collection only applies to private applicants as applicants from schools are expected to submit their applications through their schools. Requirements for request confirmation of results apply to both private and school candidates.
This new modality is very different from the previous one, when private applicants had to submit a certificate or attestation of their performance from the WAEC office in the country where they took the exam. With this new initiative, applicants can apply for and collect a certificate or attestation of their results (both school and private applicants) at any WAEC office of their choosing in Nigeria.
New WAEC conditions to collect attestation of result and certificates.
The requirements for the collection of attestation of result and certificates (private candidates) are as follows:
- To certify the results, applicants must submit their application from each board office and pay a non-refundable service fee.
- To collect a certificate, applicants must submit their application from the respective council offices and pay the specified fee.
- Applicants must clearly indicate the preferred location for picking up the printed certificate.
Results or certificates and you have to pay a courier service for delivery to the selected location;
- Applicant’s contact details (mobile number and email address) must be provided at the point of request.
